- Participating in and leading the
research and application of GRID in Earth and Space Science.
- Developing advanced information
technologies for Earth and Space Sciences, such as WebGIS, 3DGIS,
Wireless GIS, Ubiquitous mobile geocomputing, and geoinformation
services of all.
- Participating in and leading
the development of federal, national, and international standards
in the areas of geographic information science and remote sensing,
such as HDF-EOS, Geospatial Metedata.
